And so, Delta flyers with the Delta app on their smartphone will be checked in 24 hours before their flight, and they will also receive their boarding pass on their phone.

This is slowly becoming a trend as more and more airlines are picking up this concept through Early Bird promos. And so, travellers can expect a more efficient system for flying in the coming year.

Robot Servants

If you’ve ever dreamed of having robots cater to your every whim, you will have to wait a little longer. But for now, you will have to make do with robots scanning your boarding pass and provide assistance with other transactions to help make your stay at the airport more bearable. These robots are set to man the Seoul Incheon Airport just in time for the 2018 Seoul Olympics.

In this day and age, staying connected to your loved ones is easy, except when it’s not. A lot of airlines are known for their faulty and expensive Wi-Fi, but you can see improvements throughout the year that is guaranteed to keep you connected online with high-speed internet.

Biometric Identification

Getting through airport security is a hassle. But everyone trudges along and just accepts it as a fact of life. Hopefully, though, it can soon become a thing of the past as more and more airlines are experimenting with Biometric Identification processes.

Essentially, passengers will have their fingerprints and irises scanned at a kiosk at the airport upon arrival. When it is time for them to board, their prints and iris are scanned and are matched with the documents you presented. It cuts your boarding time in half and has a futuristic feel to it all in one.
